The GDI Junior Prima Series of professional hinges is able to accommodate 1/4 inch (6 millimeter) thick tempered safety glass. A variety of two styles, Top and Bottom Mount and Glass-to-Glass types, gives design flexibility. Advantages of the Junior and Senior Prima Hinges include the fact that they carry the majority of the weight on the bottom and have the ability to be inset from the wall, enabling clearance for towel bars and other projections. The Glass-to-Glass Top Pivot Hinge is used for doors having fixed transoms. Placed vertically, either style can be used in movable transom installations. These Pivot Hinges are self-centering, with four springs for maximum retention strength.

The Senior Prima Series is adaptable to our Deluxe Header System, and the Junior Prima Series is adaptable to our Junior Header Kit.
Optional Pivot Pin: Optional Pivot Pins (Cat. No. JRPIVPIN) designed for the Junior Prima Series, are for 1/4 inch Thick Glass and can be ordered separately. They are not included with the hinge. The 5 Degree Offset Pivot Pins are sold as a set. One for the top hinge and one for the bottom hinge. If using the Optional Pivot Pin, contact our GDI Technical Sales Department.
Using two hinges with 1/4 inch glass (6 millimeter) the hinge will hold up to 62 pounds (28 kilograms) with a maximum width of 28 inches (711 millimeters).
