The GDI Cathedral Series of professional hinges is able to accommodate 3/8 to 1/2 inch (10 to 12 millimeter) thick tempered safety glass. A variety of 4 styles, Wall Mount and Glass-to-Glass types, gives design flexibility. The Cathedral Series Hinge combines a unique two-tone accent design with a positive hold cut-out and through-stud system. The Cathedral Series offers the same internal mechanism as our popular Geneva Series and contains a Reversible Pivot Pin for optional 5 degree offset door closure. A Custom Pivot Pin is available for "off-angle" installations.

Standard Reversible Pivot Pin: Each Cathedral Hinge contains a Reversible Pivot Pin. One side of the Pin is marked 90 degrees. The opposite side is marked 85 degrees. Standard Cathedral Hinges come with the 90 degrees side activated.
Custom Pivot Pin: Custom Pivot Pins (Cat. No. GENP1N) are available to accommodate "off-angle" installations. If the Standard 5 Degree Reversible Pivot Pin contained in the hinge does not assist in closing the door to the position desired, you may specify the angle needed for a Custom Pivot Pin (up to 45 degrees). If using the Custom Pivot Pin, contact our Technical Sales Shower Door Department. Your glass sizes and the aesthetics of the enclosure may be affected by the use of the Custom Pivot Pin.
Using two hinges with 3/8 or 1/2 inch glass (10 or 12 millimeters) the hinge will hold up to 95 pounds (43 kilograms) with a maximum width of 34 inches (864 millimeters).
Using three hinges with 3/8 or 1/2 inch glass (10 or 12 millimeters) the hinge will hold up to 140 pounds (64 kilograms) with a maximum width of 38 inches (965 millimeters).
