GDI Geneva 245 Series 135 Degrees Pony Wall Mount Hinges are used in conjunction with the Geneva 135 Degrees Glass-to-Glass hinge for use with 135 degrees pony wall applications. Previously, the tile or marble had to be cut to allow the wall mount hinge to be recessed. That adjustment aligns the pivot points between both hinges. To eliminate this time consuming step, GDI has produced these modified wall mount hinges with a shortened center block (containing only one centering spring), and a small back plate (with only two mounting holes). This allows the hinge to be mounted to the surface of the tile or marble, and have its pivot point match up with the glass-to-glass hinge pivot point above. Geneva Hinges are self-centering, and contain a reversible 5 Degree Pivot Pin. In addition, Custom Pivot Pins are available to accommodate "off angle" installations. Made of solid brass with all moving parts (pins and springs) in stainless steel.

Standard Reversible Pivot Pin: Each Geneva Hinge contains a Reversible Pivot Pin. One side of the Pivot Pin is marked at 90 degrees; the opposite side of the Pivot Pin is marked 85 degrees. Standard Geneva Hinges come with the 90 degrees side activated, which brings the door to the standard closing position. Offset Models come with the Pin pre-set for 85 degrees (5 degree tighter closure into shower interior). The Pin can be rotated (not flipped upside down) to activate the other side.
Custom Pivot Pin: Custom Pivot Pins (Cat No. GENP1N are available to accommodate "off-angle" installations. If the standard 5 Degree Pivot Pin contained in the hinge does not assist in closing the door to the position desired, you may specify the angle needed for a Custom Pivot Pin (up to 45 degrees). If using the Custom Pivot Pin, call our Technical Sales Shower Door Department. Your glass sizes and the aesthetics of the enclosure may be affected by the use of the Custom Pivot Pin.
Using two hinges with 5/16 to 1/2 inch glass (8 to 12 millimeters) the hinge will hold up to 80 pounds (36 kilograms) with a maximum width of 28 inches (711 millimeters).
Using three hinges with 5/16 to 1/2 inch glass (8 to 12 millimeters) the hinge will hold up to 120 pounds (54 kilograms) with a maximum width of 32 inches (813 millimeters).
