QwikSet is ideal for mirror-to-mirror overlays, beveled strips and mirrored furniture. At room temperature (72°F, 22°C), QwikSet will cure to approximately 80% of its full strength in 48 hours.
On porous substrates, such as drywall or wood, use a primer or sealer to seal the substrate, NOT Palmer Mirro-Mastic Bond or paint. On non-porous substrates, such as glass or tile, sealing is not necessary.
Directions for Use:
1) QwikSet should be applied as directed to the mirror or substrate in vertical beads or mounds. Do not apply mastic too close to the edge, to prevent "squeeze out". Place the beads or mounds so space will be left between them when the mirror is installed. Each vertical bead should be approximately 1/2 inch (13 millimeters) in width with a minimum of one bead every foot (30.5 centimeters). Each mound of QwikSet should be approximately 1-1/2 inches (38 millimeters) in diameter with a minimum of one mound for every square foot (.0929 square meters).
2) Press mirror firmly in place, making good contact between the mirror, mastic, and substrate. Each vertical bead should spread to approximately two inches (51 millimeters) in width and each mound should spread to a pat approximately 3-1/2 inches (89 millimeters) in diameter. The mastic needs air circulation to cure properly.
Coverage: With minimum coverage, one cartridge will install approximately 20 square feet (1.9 square meters) of mirror.
Shelf Life: One year from date on unopened cartridges.
