Fast Permanent Bond Yet Remains Very Flexible Bonds to Porous and Non-Porous, Primed and Unprimed Substrates Will Compress to 1/16" for Mirror Overlays Can Build Up to 2" for Uneven Surfaces Gunther Application Guidelines Available Here
Gunther Premier™ is a very versatile product that is ideal for high traffic areas, gyms, dance studios and commercial projects. It holds firm, yet absorbs movement, vibrations, and allows for thermal expansion and contraction. Gunther Premier™ bonds to porous and non-porous, primed and unprimed substrates, and is environmentally safe, non-flammable, VOC compliant and has very little shrinkage. It can be built out to two inches (51 millimeters) for large mirror or uneven wall jobs, or squeezed down to 1/16 of an inch (1.6 millimeters) for mirror installations requiring close tolerances such as overlays, mirrored furniture and medicine cabinets. Minimum shrinkage makes Premier™ ideal for 1/4 inch (6.35 millimeter) plate glass mirrored columns to prevent deflection.
Gunther Premier™ at 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius) achieves approximately 30 percent strength in 24 hours, full cure in 7 days. Curing time depends on temperature, amount of product used, porosity of substrate, and amount of air reaching product. Easy working consistency year round, Premier™ is gunnable from 40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit (4 to 38 degrees Celsius). It will adhere to a wide variety of substrates, both porous and non-porous, primed or unprimed, including drywall, wood, concrete, plaster, metal, glass, acrylic, plastic, marble and tile. Gunther Premier™ should be applied in 3/8" (9.5 mm) vertical beads, 5-6 inches (127-152 mm) apart and away from the edge to prevent squeeze out. Approximate coverage is 7 sq. ft. per cartridge.
Note: Do not apply to wall paper or paint. Mechanical support systems are recommended for all mirror applications. This includes the use of mechanical fasteners at the top of the mirror.
